Services In General Of A Cargo Agent:
- Assisting the shipping public with all information required in the importing country(ies) not only when the export sales contract has been concluded but also when negotiating the sales contract.
- Providing facilities for acceptance or collection of export shipments from shippers.
- Arranging pick-up service from shipper’s premises.
- Preparing airline/shipping line documentation, i.e. completing Air Way Bills or Bill Of Ladings including all charges thereon, and ensuring that invoices and commercial documentation meet all the requirements for the movement by air, sea, or by road and for the customs authorities.
- Checking that export and import licences (at destination) are in order and comply fully with the govt. regulations.
- Ensuring the packing certificates and eventual shipper’s declaration or certification (in case of dangerous goods or live animals) which are supplied by exporters, are in compliance with the Govt. regulations.
- Arranging insurance for customers.
- Arranging transportation of goods, booking space with the airlines, shipping lines and scheduling delivery of goods at the airports.
Tracing and tracking the movements of the consignments and informing the shipper or the consignee.
